AUP – Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the acceptable use of the Internet services provided by CIS (Centric Integrated Systems). By using CIS services, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this AUP. CIS reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time, and any such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

1. General Use and Restrictions

1.1 Lawful Purpose
Customers are prohibited from using CIS services to engage in any unlawful activities. Users must comply with all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding online activities.

1.2 Prohibited Content
Users may not use CIS services to transmit, store, or distribute content that is:

  • Offensive, defamatory, or harassing
  • Violent, threatening, or discriminatory
  • In violation of any intellectual property rights or copyright laws
  • Hateful, abusive, or promoting terrorism or illegal activity

1.3 Network Abuse
The use of CIS services for activities that interfere with the normal functioning of the network is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Unauthorized access to any other computer or network
  • Distribution of malicious software such as viruses, worms, or malware
  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
  • Engaging in any form of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or network flooding

2. Security and Privacy

2.1 Account Security
Customers are responsible for the security of their account, including maintaining the confidentiality of passwords. CIS is not responsible for any unauthorized access or misuse of accounts.

2.2 Data Privacy
Customers are prohibited from accessing or attempting to access personal information, accounts, or systems without authorization. CIS adheres to privacy regulations, and the customer is expected to respect the privacy rights of others.

3. Network Management

3.1 Bandwidth Usage
CIS may implement traffic management practices to ensure fair use of its resources. Users are expected to avoid excessive consumption of bandwidth that could degrade the performance of the network or negatively impact other users.

3.2 Network Monitoring
CIS reserves the right to monitor network traffic for the purpose of ensuring compliance with this AUP, maintaining the security of its systems, and managing the performance of the network.

4. Prohibited Activities

4.1 Spam and Unsolicited Email
Users may not use CIS services to send spam or unsolicited email to individuals or mailing lists. Any form of email that violates applicable spam laws or regulations is strictly prohibited.

4.2 Phishing and Fraudulent Activities
Users may not use CIS services to engage in phishing, identity theft, or other fraudulent activities, including pretending to be someone else for financial gain or stealing personal information.

4.3 Impersonation
Users may not impersonate another individual, company, or entity, including by using a fake email address, phone number, or other identifying information.

5. Termination of Service

5.1 Breach of AUP
Failure to comply with the provisions of this AUP may result in the suspension or termination of CIS services. CIS reserves the right to take any necessary action, including reporting violations to the appropriate authorities.

5.2 No Refunds
In the event of a suspension or termination due to violation of this AUP, CIS will not be liable for any refund or compensation for services lost.

6. Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless CIS, its employees, affiliates, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or legal fees arising from the customer’s violation of this AUP or the unlawful use of CIS services.

7. Modification of Policy

CIS reserves the right to amend or modify this AUP at any time. Any changes to this policy will be communicated to customers, and continued use of the services will indicate acceptance of the updated AUP.
